   Russia's fighter jets intercepted a US ship in the Mediterranean Sea. The US Navy has accused two Russian Su-35 fighter jets of intercepting a US Navy P-8A Poseidon in the Mediterranean. Russian naval officials say the US ship's entry into the eastern Mediterranean was unsafe.

According to Russian naval officials, the US and Russian planes came face to face during the flight over the Mediterranean. Russian fighter jets surrounded the American plane and pushed it back. This is the third incident in the month, followed by two similar incidents in April.
