Sindh govt raises objections to PIA plane crash investigation team, fears new controversy
The Sindh government has raised objections to the PIA plane crash investigation team. The investigation committee should be disbanded and a new team should be formed. At the Karachi Camp Office, Provincial Education Minister Saeed Ghani, along with Provincial Information Minister Nasir Shah and Imtiaz Sheikh, said that sometimes it is said that it is the fault of the pilot and sometimes it is said that the birds collided. All the people in the investigation team are subordinate to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PIA
Without the removal of the CEO of PIA and head of civil aviation, there can be no transparent investigation. He further said that at first no one said that the plane had landed on the runway but when the passenger Zubair told then everyone knew that the plane had landed on the runway, the responsibility for the accident is being placed on him who is not in this world.
Saeed Ghani demanded that this investigation committee be disbanded and a new team be formed, an impartial investigation team consisting of representatives of Palpa, International Pilots Organization be formed and then decisions be taken.
The Minister said that the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) must be included in the investigation while the Model Colony along with the cantt area should also be included.
