Pakistan breaks all records for corona virus, biggest increase in cases and deaths in a single day
The number of corona virus patients and deaths in Pakistan has risen to its highest ever in a single day, with 88 deaths and 3,039 new cases reported in the last 24 hours. According to official figures, 3,039 more cases of corona virus were reported across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed corona cases nationwide to 69,496, with 88 deaths in a single day. The latest death toll is 1,483. In the last 24 hours, 1811 patients recovered and returned home while there are 42,742 active cases.
In terms of provinces, Sindh topped the list with 27,360 patients, followed by Punjab with 2,5056, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 9,540, Balochistan with 4,193, Islamabad with 2,418, Gilgit-Baltistan with 678 and Azad Kashmir with 251 reported cases.
According to official figures, more than 88 people have died from the corona virus in the past 24 hours, a record. So far 1,483 deaths have been reported in the country due to Corona epidemic. The highest number of deaths occurred in Punjab where 475 patients lost their lives, 465 in Sindh, 453 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 46 in Balochistan, 27 in Islamabad and 11 in Gilgit-Baltistan. And in Azad Kashmir, 6 people lost their lives.
