Leading Indian actress commits suicide after posting on Instagram
Praksha Mehta, a teenage actress who performed in superhit TV serials like Crime Patrol, Meri Dargah and Lal Ishq, committed suicide.
According to India Times, Prakash Mehta was from Indore, India. She went to her parents in Indore a few days before and got stuck there due to the lock down. She was reportedly suffering from severe depression due to work stoppage. She ended her life last night by hanging herself to a ceiling fan in her room.
According to the report, Prakash's father saw her body hanging from a fan at 6.30 am. Her family rushed her to the hospital but she had died several hours earlier. Prakash posted a post on Instagram before committing suicide, which gives some idea of the reason for her suicide. "The worst thing is the death of dreams," she wrote in the post.
Prakash Mehta was only 25 years old and had also acted in Akshay Kumar's film 'Padman'. According to police, Prakash Mehta also wrote a letter before committing suicide, but police did not say the reason for her suicide, was in the letter, which is being speculated in media reports. She was depressed because of her stoppage from work and that is why she committed suicide.
