Fears of short supply of oxygen and beds in two big Hospitals

The management of two major hospitals in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, feared a shortage of oxygen and beds due to an increase in Corona patients.
Hospitals in Peshawar that are feared to be short of oxygen and beds include Khyber Teaching Hospital and Hayatabad Medical Complex. According to the management of Khyber Teaching Hospital, the hospital has 55 beds for corona patients while 41 patients are undergoing treatment, which may lead to shortage of beds in the coming days.
On the other hand, 90 beds have been allotted for corona patients in Hayatabad Medical Complex while 85 corona patients are currently undergoing treatment. However, 360 more beds can be allotted for corona patients in emergency. According to the hospital administration, a patient in Corona needs 1 to 2 cylinders of oxygen daily. If the condition of patients in Hayatabad Medical Complex remains the same, they may also face oxygen deficiency.
