China demands United States and Britain to refrain from interfering in Hong Kong
China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Zhang Jun, has called on the United States and Britain to immediately stop interfering in the internal affairs of Hong Kong immediately. Both the countries should end the politics of hegemony and power, escalating tensions and creating problems everywhere. Zhang Jun denies the misconceptions created by the United States, Britain and some other countries about Hong Kong, saying that China opposes and rejects the baseless statements made by any country.
Zhang Jun, China's permanent representative to the United Nations, said Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China. Hong Kong's affairs are purely China's internal affairs in which no external interference is allowed. National security legislation for Hong Kong poses no threat to international peace and security, the Council should not be involved in any way
The Chinese ambassador said that since June last year, there had been a series of violent and separatist activities in Hong Kong, backed by some foreign powers, which posed a real threat to China's national security. Establishing and improving Hong Kong's legal framework for protection and the manner in which they are enforced is necessary and fully justified, such legislation does not affect Hong Kong's sovereignty and the rights and freedoms of its inhabitants.
